Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise Solution software has been selected for the State’s Integrated Business Information System (IBIS) project.
The project will produce a standardized infrastructure to replace an assortment of outmoded business processes throughout state government that presently include more than 38 different human resources and payroll systems, and more than 59 financial management systems.
Phase 0 of the IBIS project started with identifying current and desired business practices. Subject Matter Expert (SME) groups, comprised of individuals from across the enterprise, will be established for a number of areas. These areas include Accounting, Budget, Human Resources, Payroll, and Procurement.
The SMEs will document current business practices and develop standard practices. These standard practices will be used to develop an RFP. Next, an ERP package that is the tightest fit with the way we want to do things will be selected. The final deliverable from this phase will be to generate specifications for implementation by business area.
