Current statewide administrative systems do not meet the business needs of all agencies. Numerous agency-level systems that duplicate functionality that would be expected in a statewide system have been implemented. As a result, the state’s business processes are fractured, and agencies continue to spend significant amounts of money on agency stand alone systems.
The Integrated Business Information System [IBIS] will replace all legacy enterprise financial, budget human resources and accounting systems such as Central Payroll, Position Management Information System [PMIS], WiSMART, as well as some stand alone systems in larger agencies that now interface with WiSMART. IBIS will also provide a procurement information module to the enterprise.
Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) are working to determine configuration and standard processes in these functional areas.
